InkEgg is an ongoing experiment in self-hosting my own productivity tools, games, and things I find interesting and/or amusing.

 This site is running on an old laptop running in my home office, and was built using open-source tools. User-authentication is required only for the things on this site that cost me money by using third-party APIs (sending SMS, running LLM functions like transcribing audio, etc.). The tools that simply run on my server or (even better) are able to run entirely client-side, will always be free to use. This site is 100% free of ads and trackers (I may sell an item here at some point, but it would be an objet d'art, and only available here). If you saved some money by using my site to create a few QR Codes or edit some PDFs rather than paying a tribute to the Enshittification demons in the form of a weekly subscription fee for a SAAS product, please consider giving a few bucks to a food bank or covering up a corporate logo with permanent marker in lieu of payment. If you have a problem that is looking for a solution, I also do freelance work and consulting during my off-time for a few select clients.
